Tweed Jacket

I’ve always loved the look of tweed. It is simple, classic, and sophisticated. It also reminds me of Coco Chanel, who was responsible for introducing the fabric and style to women’s wear almost 100 years ago. I found a great article that gives a brief history on topic, if you are interested, click here.

This is one of my favorite outfits to wear when I want to be a little dressier. The tweed jacket is timeless, and the faux leather leggings and booties keep the look up-to-date. In fact, just a couple years ago, I was pairing this with leggings and taller boots!

My jacket here is a couple years old. I bought it at Ann Taylor, and it is no longer available today, but there are very similar styles available here and here. These faux leather leggings are my go-tos from Nordstrom, and only $28 – a MUST buy! And, these booties are from Nordstrom, as well. They are cute and comfortable!

My accessories are classic staples, as well. My pearl necklace and earrings were gifts from my mother, and they are my favorite. Every lady should own a nice set of pearls, if she can! My bag is the new Tory Burch Thea Satchel, my new favorite! This is the watch a wear when I am a little dressier, and wearing silver or white gold. It’s made by Burberry, and absolutely love it! I often wear this watch with my David Yurman bracelet and ring, which were gifts for my 30th birthday. My husband bought me the bracelet, which has two pearls to signify the birth of our daughter, Madeline. She was born last June, and the pearl is her birthstone. And my ring was a gift to myself! #treatyoself
